09/12/2019 – Stuart Grimley MP has purchased a defibrillator for his office on Pearl St for the Torquay community to use in the event of an emergency. Mr Grimley was joined by a local who survived a heart attack in 2014 on Torquay beach, as a result of using a defibrillation device.
12/11/2019 – Stuart Grimley MP asked the Government to ‘come to the party’ with respect to an arrangement for the water body at Alcoa in Anglesea, to ensure Eden Project invest in the rehabilitated mine site.
05/11/2019 – The gold royalty of 2.75% proposed for 1 January 2020 was brought in at May 2019’s State Budget without any community consultation. Stuart spoke in Parliament addressing this and the hundreds of jobs it jeopardises.
31/10/2019 – After a Colac Magistrate expressed concern over repeat drug drivers facing court continuously, Stuart reflected on the frustrations he had as a police officer and experiencing the same thing. He asked a question to the Minister about their proposed solutions for repeat drug drivers.
30/10/2019 – Murray Basin Rail Project has been stalled and Stuart spoke about the importance of the completion of the project to Western Victoria, including the development of a business case for Portland Rail.
16/10/2019 – In response to Tania Maxwell MPs motion, Stuart Grimley MP is outraged that the Government does not support a policy which they sold to the Victorian people in October 2018. After promising to close the loophole which allowed those who assault our emergency services workers, it continues to happen due to the inaction of the State Government. As a former police officer, Mr Grimley knows firsthand the trauma associated with being a first responder.
16/10/2019 – Stuart Grimley MP has asked the Government to consider using PSOs instead of frontline police officers when escorting mental health patients to hospitals, which can often take them off the beat for four hours at a time, until they’re seen by a medical professional.

29/08/2019 – Stuart Grimley, Member for Western Victoria is using his Electorate Office to support charities in the area. This includes the current initiative of collecting plastic bottle caps for Envision to make artificial limbs for disabled children.
15/08/2019 – In Parliament this evening, Stuart Grimley MP has called on Victoria’s Police Minister to alter the Victorian Police Honour Roll inclusion criteria to include the names of Officers who have died by suicide as a result of mental health illnesses stemming from their Policing duties.
18/06/2019 – Following six long years of debate in Victorian Parliament regarding controversial changes to Victoria’s fire services, Stuart Grimley’s vote against the Bill will go towards protecting the CFA volunteers.
